Populus Seattle makes its First Thursday Art Walk debut with a multi-venue, neighborhood-wide celebration of art, food, performance, and community.

At the heart of the evening is Populus: Origins—an exhibition at Europa Gallery offering an intimate look into the creative formation of Seattle’s newest cultural landmark.
Developed over the course of a decade, and featuring contributions from over 30 creators including artists, architects, designers, photographers, and curators—the exhibition traces the earliest gestures, studies, and place based responses that shaped the vision for Populus Seattle. These works reflect a process rooted in the textures, histories, and ecology of the Pacific Northwest, capturing the evolution from concept to built form.
Featured Creators:
Aidan LJ Sakakini, Amy Bay, Baso Fibonacci, Becca Fuhrman, Brandon Vosika, Cristina Martinez, Dana Blume, Devin Liston, Drew Merritt, Gage Hamilton, Jack Coble, Joe Nix, John Black, Josh Perez, Juliet Shen, Katherine Homes, Kevin Cosley, Kimberly Fulton Orozco, Mike Jobes, Pajtim Osmanaj, Patty Haller, Rabi, Safiuchi, Sanoe Stevenson-Egeland, Sean Barton, Soo Hong, Stevie Shao, Tara Lobo
A special performance by Babes in Canyon will take place at Europa Gallery from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. With luminous harmonies and nature-infused sound, the Seattle-based duo will transform the venue into a resonant, living extension of the exhibition—deepening its emotional register and connecting audience, space, and sound in a shared atmosphere.
The public is invited to move between Europa (401 2nd Ave S) and Populus (100 S King St)—to experience the arc from idea to realization. Housed in a reimagined 1907 warehouse, Populus Seattle stands at the intersection of preservation and possibility. The building’s transformation honors its industrial past while introducing new materials, original artworks, and architectural elements that reflect a deep connection to the natural world.
