Populus: origins

  • Europa Gallery 401 2nd Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)
Populus Seattle debuted on the First Thursday Art Walk with a multi-venue celebration of art, performance, and place. The evening centered around Populus: Origins, an exhibition at Europa Gallery showcasing early works by over 30 artists, architects, and curators whose vision helped shape Seattle’s newest cultural landmark.
Guests explored both the gallery and the hotel, where original works are installed throughout every level—transforming the historic 1907 warehouse into a living gallery. A live performance by Babes in Canyon filled the exhibition with cinematic harmonies, while Salt Harvest extended the story through open-hearth cuisine rooted in local flavor. The night concluded at Firn, Pioneer Square’s first rooftop bar, with skyline views, cocktails, and a gathering of the creative community behind it all. A special overnight package invited guests to stay the night, turning First Thursday into a fully immersive experience.
